WHAT TO EXPECT
- Redness – usually settles quickly.
- Swelling – settling over 1-2 hours but possibly present for up to 2 weeks. Regular icing will hep make this comfortable.
- Tenderness – The treated area will likely always feel sore.
- Bruising – appears 12-24 hours after treatment. Whilst it isn't harmful it can last 1-3 weeks. Plan your treatments accordingly.
- Lumps or Asymmetries – filler can look or feel a bit firm and occasionally will feel like small lumps under the skin before softening over 4-6 weeks as it integrates in to the tissues. Areas can often look uneven due to swelling. This is all part of the acute phase and will be monitored and evaluated at your review appointment.
